Terms of Service

By using Musiprof, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.

Who can use Musiprof?
Anyone in Canada looking for private music lessons. Minors must have a parent or guardian create the account and manage bookings.
Do you offer in-person lessons near me?
Yes — Musiprof primarily connects you with teachers near you for in-person lessons at home or in studio. Online lessons are also available. Beyond private lessons, we offer a band program and community recitals for a complete musical experience.
What is the cancellation policy?
Musiprof enforces a platform-wide 24-hour cancellation policy. If a lesson is cancelled more than 24 hours before the scheduled time, the credit is returned. If cancelled within 24 hours, the credit is consumed and the teacher is paid in full.
What happens if I miss a lesson (no-show)?
If you don't attend a scheduled lesson and didn't cancel in time, the lesson is charged and the teacher is paid — the same as a late (within-24-hour) cancellation. The teacher may mark a missed lesson as a no-show.
Will my card be saved and charged automatically?
For pay-as-you-go (à la carte) lessons, you authorize Musiprof to securely store your payment card with our processor (Stripe) and charge it automatically as each lesson is completed. You can remove your card or contact us at any time.
Can I pay a teacher directly, outside Musiprof?
No. All lessons must be booked and paid through Musiprof. Paying — or, for teachers, accepting payment — outside the platform (cash, direct e-transfer, etc.) violates these Terms. Off-platform payments are not covered by our Satisfaction Guarantee, refund policy, or dispute resolution, and Musiprof cannot help recover funds or resolve any issue arising from them. Accounts involved in off-platform transactions may be suspended or removed.
What is Musiprof's role and responsibility?
Teachers on Musiprof are independent professionals, not employees of Musiprof. Musiprof provides the marketplace, booking, scheduling, and payment services that connect students and teachers, but the lessons themselves are provided by the teacher. To the extent permitted by law, Musiprof's liability is limited to the amount you paid for the affected lesson(s).
What if I disagree with a charge?
If you have an issue with a charge, please contact us first at info@musiprof.com — we'll work to resolve it quickly. You agree not to initiate a card chargeback or payment dispute for lessons that were actually delivered. Initiating a chargeback for a delivered lesson may lead to suspension of your account.
How is my data protected?
We follow industry-standard encryption and never share your personal data with third parties. Payment processing is handled securely via Stripe.
