About
Hey there :) You'll find below a list of my training as a musician an singer. Most recently, I've trained directly under Brett Manning at Singing Success in Nashville (he's worked with Taylor Swift, Leona Lewis, Hayley Williams from Paramore, Keith Urban, and many more) as well as Benny Meza from the same vocal coaching school, which is where I've pulled most benefit as a singer and from where (singing wise) I teach. Music theory + ear training – 2 years (Mcgill Schulich of Music) Classical guitar – DEC (Cegep de Saint-Laurent) Montreal Jubilation Gospel Choir (choir member) Musicology – BAC (Incomplete), Université de Montréal Songwriting, public performances and recording (8 years) Singing Success Method Private training with various vocal coaches (Montreal & Nashville).
What You'll Learn
I combine simple exercises while being attentive to the student’s individual needs (learning and vocal). Through pop technique, the student acquires a solid foundation to expand on (which we can do during the lesson), and gains confidence through their newfound vocal skills. Emphasis on pop music Technical activities interweaved with theoretical explanations Topics vary according to the student’s level of interest Basic piano and/or guitar skills to accompany the voice

My daughter studied voice with Ishana for over two years. She would still be working with her if we had not decided to move from Canada. We started online during the pandemic and then continued in person once the world returned to normal. Ishana was a super teacher and the weekly lesson was my daughter's favourite hour of every week. We will miss her greatly!!

Ishana et une prof extraordinaire! Dans son enseignement, elle fait preuve d'une grande sensibilité et d'une écoute attentive, tout en appliquant une rigueur essentielle aux exercices et aux techniques qu'elle propose. Les cours de chant et de guitare que j'ai pris avec Ishana m'ont fait progresser à haute vitesse dans mon cheminement musical. Je recommande donc cette prof sans hésiter!

Ishana is warm, friendly and very communicable. She shows a great flexibility in adjusting to the needs and interests of the student making every session a "gem time" for me.
