What You'll Learn

As an author of my own bass curriculum method books, I have had the opportunity to design a learning path for bassists that takes them through beginner to an intermediate level. I like to make music fun and accessible for students of all ages and playing abilities but to also incorporate bits of music theory and technique along the way. An example of how I do this is by giving my students sheet music that includes both tab and standard notation, so that they can use the tab to learn the material quickly and easily, but they have the notation there to cross reference and to absorb at a slower pace over time. Together I would work with students to eventually transition from tab to standard notation when I feel they are ready. I also always like to make sure that students are having fun and learning material that they are passionate about. That is why I tend to make custom transcriptions of songs that students are interested in learning that are catered to the level of their playing ability, so that they can learn the songs they want at a pace that works for them. My bass books are available to check out at Amazon.
